Operation of the ISUZU Foam Tender Fire Truck
1. Foam Liquid Refilling
There are two methods to refill the foam liquid tank in an ISUZU foam fire engine:
Steps for compressed air transfer:
① Connect the suction tube, air charging nozzle, and tire inflation hose with adapters.
② Start the engine to ensure sufficient air pressure in the truck's air reservoir.
③ Close the foam proportioner and open the foam tank inlet valve.
④ Connect the air hose to the charging nozzle to introduce compressed air into the foam drum.
⑤ The foam liquid is pushed into the foam tank under air pressure.
⑥ Once the drum is empty, immediately shut off the air release valve and foam tank inlet valve to prevent excessive air intake.
2. Foam Firefighting Operations
(1) Internal Foam Suction (Tank Supply)
Foam is drawn from the onboard foam tank via the proportioning system.
Steps:
① Connect hoses, foam guns, or monitors as needed. For medium/high-pressure hose reels, install the dedicated foam attachment.
② Set the foam gun selector to
"mixed solution" or "water" position.
③ Start the water pump (refer to water tank truck operations).
④ Open the pressure water valve leading to the foam proportioner.
⑤ Increase engine throttle to adjust pump pressure based on foam gun/monitor requirements.
⑥ Rotate the proportioner valve to align with the foam gun’s calibrated orifice setting.
⑦ Open the foam inlet valve—the proportioner will continuously draw foam at the set ratio.
(2) External Foam Suction (Drum Supply)
Buih diambil dari dram luar melalui pembahagian.

① Tutup injap masuk tangki buih, buka penutup paip T, dan sambungkan tiub sedutan luaran ke dram.
② Buka lubang udara dram, kemudian ikuti langkah sedutan dalaman.
(3) Buih Sedut Sendiri (Bekalan Pistol Terus)
Senapang buih ditarik terus dari dram melalui tiub sedutan.
Langkah-langkah:
① Sambungkan satu hujung hos ke alur keluar pam dan satu lagi ke pistol buih. Masukkan tiub sedutan ke dalam dram.
② Buka lubang udara dram.
